Where in New Haven do we deliver?
Delivery covers all 6 New Haven ZIPs, 06510, 06511, 06512, 06513, 06515 and 06519, about 14 miles and 25 minutes from Shelton by Route 34 east. Drivers reach Downtown, East Rock, Wooster Square, Fair Haven, Westville, Morris Cove, The Hill, Dixwell and Newhallville.
New Haven streets are narrow, and many blocks have resident permit parking. The truck needs a place to stop close to the spot, so plan that before delivery day.
- Row houses and multi-families: a driveway or side yard is easier than the curb.
- East Rock and Wooster Square: tight one-way streets, so give the driver a clear stopping point.
- Morris Cove: shoreline wind makes anchoring worth adding.
Gates should be about 48 inches wide for a standard unit. See our guide to placing a porta potty for more.

Do you need a permit for porta potty rental in New Haven, CT?
A porta potty on private property in New Haven rarely involves the city. Even 1 unit on a street, sidewalk or city land needs the city's approval. Events on public property or in a city park need a special event permit from the City of New Haven before units are placed.
The city's Planning an Event page covers special event permits for block parties, festivals, runs and filming. The Parks Department has its own pavilion and special event application for park use.
For a unit in the street in front of a job, ask the city which office approves right-of-way use before you book. Leave a few days for that approval.
Food vendors also deal with the New Haven Health Department, which you can find through the CT DPH health department finder. Plan a hand-wash station for food areas.
What New Haven events and job sites need portable restrooms?
New Haven orders split between 2 big groups: events like block parties, graduation gatherings and park festivals, and construction on older multi-family homes. Commencement season in May fills fast, so book graduation parties 1 to 2 weeks ahead. Gut rehabs usually run several 28-day cycles with weekly service.
Spring and summer bring events on the New Haven Green, in neighborhood parks and in backyards across Westville and East Rock. Yale Commencement each May also brings a wave of family gatherings across the city.
- Block party for 150: about 3 to 4 units for 4 hours, plus a wheelchair-accessible unit, is our recommendation.
- Multi-family rehab: 1 unit for up to about 10 workers with weekly service.
- Courtyard event: a restroom trailer needs a level spot, a 110V outlet and a hose.
