Where in West Haven do we deliver?
Delivery covers all of West Haven, ZIP 06516, about 15 miles and 22 minutes from Shelton by Route 8 and I-95. Drivers reach Savin Rock, Bradley Point, West Shore, Allingtown, the center and the Campbell Avenue area, and same-day delivery works when you call before noon.
West Haven is compact, with dense blocks inland and beach streets along Captain Thomas Boulevard. Many homes sit on small lots with shared driveways.
- Shoreline streets: wind off the water is strong, so ask to have the unit staked.
- Allingtown near the university: parking is tight during the school year, so pick a driveway spot.
- Two-family homes: agree on the spot with your neighbor, and keep it off the shared walk.
Placement tips are in our porta potty placement guide.

Do you need a permit for porta potty rental in West Haven, CT?
A porta potty in your own West Haven driveway or yard does not usually need a city permit. Even 1 unit on a city street, sidewalk, beach or park is different. For those spots, check with West Haven City Hall first, because the city handles applications, permits and licenses in person there.
The beach and boardwalk area is city land, so events there need the city's approval before any units arrive. Keep a unit on a private lot whenever you can, since it is simpler.
The West Haven Health Department inspects food service and tests beach water. If your event has food vendors, ask the department what handwashing they expect, then add a hand-wash station.
Ask about the date early, because summer beach weekends fill quickly.
Which West Haven projects and gatherings rent portable toilets?
Most West Haven rentals fall into 3 groups: shoreline gatherings near Savin Rock, two-family home renovations, and contractor jobs for roofing or siding. A job with fewer than 10 workers on a 40-hour week usually needs 1 standard unit with weekly service, by our rule of thumb.
Summer brings family reunions and birthday parties along the shore, and the strong breeze makes anchoring a smart add-on. Inland, older two-family homes get kitchen and bathroom rebuilds that leave the house without a working toilet for weeks.
- Bathroom remodel: 1 standard unit for the household, on a 28-day cycle.
- Beach party for 60: 2 units for a 4-hour party is our recommendation, more if alcohol is served.
- Contractor crews: OSHA counts toilets by crew size; see our OSHA guide.
